David and Bathsheba
I had not realized this before but Solomon is the son of David and Bathsheba.
David and Bathsheba: the classic adultry/sin story of a man after God's own heart (2 Samuel 11). Solomon: the wisest man who ever lived. Our world would say that those two things don't mix. Good cannot come from evil. And it can't, apart from God.
It gives me hope for my life, knowing that God is in control and able turn my sin into His glory.
And in a parallel universe: to the beautiful girl gardening on the roof on Gough street: need a hand?
